Inside Gama

Our Story & Promise

Gama was born from a passion for refined craftsmanship and timeless style. We source the finest fabrics and handcraft every pocket square with precision. Our promise is simple—premium quality, elegant design, and meticulous detailing that elevate your everyday look with confidence, sophistication, and lasting impression.

Whether you are dressing for a black-tie gala or a casual dinner, here is how to master the fold.

The Presidential Fold (The Classic)

Clean. Sharp. Authoritative. This is the most formal and easiest fold. It creates a crisp, straight horizontal line across the pocket.

  • Clean. Sharp. Authoritative. This is the most formal and easiest fold. It creates a crisp, straight horizontal line across the pocket.
  • How to:
    1. Fold the square in half to form a rectangle.
    2. Fold it in half again to form a square.
    3. Fold it in half vertically (so it’s the width of your pocket).
    4. Fold the bottom up so about ½ inch of fabric is visible above the pocket line.
    5. Tuck it in and smooth the top.

The Puff Fold (The Nonchalant)

Soft. Expressive. Effortless. The puff is all about volume and showcasing the fabric’s sheen—perfect for silk or satin squares like the Noir Rose.

  • Best for: Cocktail parties, dates, weddings, or creative business environments.
  • How to:
      1. Lay the square flat.
      2. Pinch the center of the fabric and lift it up.
      3. Slide your other hand down the fabric to smooth it into a tube shape.
      4. Fold the bottom up behind the puff.
      5. Tuck it into your pocket, letting the “puff” billow out naturally.

The Winged Puff (The Artist)

Structured yet fluid. Complex. This is a variation of the puff that shows off the corners (and the hand-rolled edges) alongside the center volume.

  • Best for: When you want to show off the embroidery or contrast stitching on your Gama square.
  • How to:
      1. Follow the steps for the “Puff Fold,” but instead of tucking all the corners away, let one or two corners peek out alongside the puff.
      2. Adjust so the rose embroidery (if applicable) is visible.

The One-Point Fold (The Architect)

Geometric. Precise. Modern. A sharp triangle pointing upwards. It adds height and verticality to your look.

  • Best for: Linen or cotton squares that hold a crease well, or for adding a sharp edge to a blazer.
  • How to:
        1. Fold the square in half diagonally to make a triangle.
        2. Fold one bottom corner halfway towards the center.
        3. Fold the other bottom corner over it.
        4. Tuck the bottom into your pocket, leaving the single triangle point visible.
